**Patient and Visitor Interaction**:Greet and welcome patients and visitors, provide information, and direct them to the appropriate departments or staff.
- **Appointment Management**:Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments for patients using medical office software and other technology.
- **Communication**:Answer multi-line phone systems, screen calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries from patients and other medical offices.
- **Administrative Tasks**:Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning documents, preparing medical forms, and processing referrals.
- **Patient Records**:Maintain and update patient records in electronic health records (EHR) or other systems, ensuring patient information remains confidential.
- **Financial Duties**:Collect co-pays and payments for services, handle billing questions, and process insurance information.
- **Front Desk Operations**:Ensure the reception and waiting areas are clean, organized, and inviting.
**Required Skills**:
- **Customer Service**:Provide excellent customer service and a compassionate demeanor, anticipating patient anxieties and maintaining a calm environment.
- **Communication**:Possess strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
- **Organization**:Be highly organized to manage appointments, patient records, and front desk activities efficiently.
- **Technical Proficiency**:Be comfortable using computers, medical office software, and other technology for record management and scheduling.
- **Attention to Detail**:Accurately update patient information and process forms to ensure smooth operations.
- **Confidentiality**:Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive patient and doctor information, as required by healthcare regulations.
