**JOB DESCRIPTION - TECHNICIAN**

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform microbiological tests on various specimens, including blood, urine, tissue, and other bodily fluids, using aseptic techniques.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents, media, and cultures necessary for testing and research.
- Conduct routine quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, such as microscopes, centrifuges, incubators, and automated analyzers.
- Interpret and document test results accurately and promptly, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality assurance protocols.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure proper sample collection, handling, and transport.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, including test results, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory of supplies.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Stay current with advances in microbiology and diagnostic techniques through continuing education and professional development activities.
- Assist in the development and validation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working as a Microbiology Technician in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory setting with Manual system is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of microbiology principles, techniques, and methodologies.
- Proficiency in performing various microbiological tests, including bacterial identification, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and molecular diagnostic assays.
- Experience with laboratory equipment, such as microscopes, centrifuges, and automated analyzers.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and troubleshoot test results.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow precise protocols and procedures.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for documenting and reporting test results.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Supplemental pay types:
