**Job Summary**:
The Solar Field Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and driving sales for solar energy products and services. This includes identifying and engaging potential customers, educating them on the benefits of solar power, and managing the sales process from initial contact through to closing deals. The representative will work in the field, meeting with clients, conducting site assessments, and providing tailored solar solutions to meet customer needs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Sales Development**: Identify and prospect new leads for solar energy systems in the local area through cold calling, door-to-door canvassing, networking, and referrals.
- **Customer Education**: Educate potential customers on the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental impact, and the process of installing solar systems.
- **Site Assessment**: Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate a customer’s property for solar system installation, including evaluating roof space, shading, and energy usage.
- **Proposal Creation**: Prepare and present tailored solar proposals and quotes based on customer needs, energy consumption, and budget.
- **Negotiation & Closing**: Lead sales negotiations, overcoming objections, and closing deals by guiding customers through the purchasing process.
- **Follow-Up**: Maintain regular contact with prospects and existing customers, answering questions, providing updates, and ensuring a smooth transition from sale to installation.
- **Market Research**: Stay up-to-date with solar energy trends, product offerings, and competitors to effectively position the company’s products in the market.
- **Customer Relationship Management (CRM)**: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date CRM database with lead and customer information.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the internal team (engineers, installers, and customer support) to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven sales experience, preferably in solar energy, renewable energy, or a similar field.
- Strong understanding of solar technology, energy savings, and renewable energy trends.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline.
- Goal-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to conduct site assessments and understand energy consumption metrics.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle rejection professionally.

**Preferred Skills and Experience**:

- Previous experience in field sales or door-to-door sales.
- Knowledge of local renewable energy regulations and incentives.
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Technical background or interest in solar energy and sustainability.
