Server Administrator

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Server Management**:

- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux/Unix).
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patch management.
- Monitor server performance and ensure maximum uptime.
- **Infrastructure Management**:

- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and on-premise environments.
- Implement and manage virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
- Oversee storage and backup solutions, including SAN, NAS, and disaster recovery plans.
- **Security Administration**:

- Ensure server security through firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and address security threats promptly.
- Implement security measures to protect data integrity and compliance.
- **Technical Troubleshooting**:

- Provide advanced troubleshooting for server-related issues, including root cause analysis.
- Support escalated issues from L1/L2 support teams.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers for issue resolution.
- **Automation and Scripting**:

- Create and maintain scripts for automation of routine tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Optimize server performance through automation and efficient resource allocation.
- **Monitoring and Reporting**:

- Use monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) to ensure system health.
- Generate regular reports on server performance, capacity planning, and utilization.
- **Collaboration and Leadership**:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
- Mentor and guide L1 and L2 administrators to enhance team capabilities.
- Contribute to IT strategy and provide input for infrastructure improvements.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain detailed documentation for server configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
- Develop and update IT policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, VCP, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or similar.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, Unix).
- Expertise in cloud platforms and virtualization technologies.
- Strong networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

**Experience**:

- 5+ years of experience as a Server Administrator, with at least 2 years in an L3 role.
- Proven experience in managing enterprise-grade server environments.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹14,266.49 - ₹51,342.26 per month
