**Job Summary**:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated **Commi 1** to work in the **Continental and Chinese kitchen section** of our multi-cuisine restaurant. The role involves assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes, maintaining hygiene, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cook a variety of **Continental and Chinese vegetarian dishes** as per recipe and plating standards.
- Handle mise-en-place for both sections - chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, marination, etc.
- Assist CDP in executing daily kitchen operations efficiently.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation and kitchen tools.
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols (FSSAI / HACCP standards).
- Properly store and label ingredients to avoid spoilage and cross-contamination.
- Assist in inventory management by reporting shortages or spoilage.
- Cooperate with other kitchen sections and service staff to ensure timely order delivery.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with kitchen staff.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in **Continental and Chinese cuisine**, preferably in a vegetarian or multi-cuisine restaurant.
- Good knowledge of sauces, gravies, pasta, fried rice, noodles, soups, starters, etc.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Strong sense of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the kitchen team.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience in QSR, café chains, or casual dining setups is a plus.
**Work Schedule**:
- Rotational shifts (lunch/dinner)
- Weekend and holiday availability is required
