Key Responsibilities:
1. Design Development:

- Conceptualize and design furniture pieces based on market trends, customer preferences, and functional requirements.
- Create detailed sketches, 3D models, and prototypes using design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, or SolidWorks.

2. Material Selection:

- Research and choose appropriate materials for durability, cost-efficiency, and aesthetics.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source sustainable materials when required.

3. Collaboration with Teams:

- Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and feedback.

4. Quality Assurance:

- Monitor production to ensure designs are executed to specifications.
- Evaluate prototypes and make necessary modifications to improve the final product.

5. Market Research:

- Stay updated on design trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
- Analyze competitors’ products and suggest innovative ideas to differentiate the company’s designs.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong understanding of ergonomics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Creative and innovative mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
