Instructional Designer

**Role**:
- Designing Learning programs for all MIS staff and supporting the successful implementation of business initiatives.
- Design and edit a wide array of high-quality media-enriched training content ranging from enhanced recordings to fully-fledged eLearning tutorials with embedded motion capture, video, and audio: develop storyboards; develop visuals, learner interactivity, motion captures, quizzes, etc
- Instructional design work including setting learning objectives and creating high-quality content to meet those learning objectives, for a broad range of training modalities including classroom, in-person webinars; on-demand webinars; e-tutorials; blended programs; quick reference cards, manuals, and similar job aides
- Consulting with Line of Business (LOB) stakeholders and global Learning team to assess training needs and appropriately plan design strategy, and assess overall effectiveness.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
- State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
- Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
- Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games, etc.)
- Decide on the criteria used to measure learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
- Maintain project documentation and course folders
- Working with key stakeholders to solicit learning requirements that will go into the design prototype
- The ability to introduce Instruction design best practices
- Maintain a key set of artifacts: Example: Storyboard maintenance
- Being able to look at business success criteria and key metrics
**Specialized Skills**:
- Experience with design platforms, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Articulate 360 and Rise, Camtasia, Lectora Publisher, Paige Tiger
- Familiarity with Learning Management systems: CornerStone
- The ability to design engaging modules using Microsoft PowerPoint
- The ability to warehouse and make insights of data in Excel
**Qualifications/Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree with qualifications in instructional design, adult learning, multi-media technology, or similar
- 2 to 5 yrs experience in designing multi-media enriched training, preferably in a financial services organization
- Knowledge of instructional theory, including assessments
- Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS)
- Understanding of website design best practices
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- The ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues and clients
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines
