Key Responsibilities
- Supports the design and development of program methods, processes and systems to consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured, diverse "big data" sources
- Interfaces with internal customers for requirements analysis and compiles data for scheduled or special reports and analysis
- Preparing data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
- Create new data validation methods
- Convert raw data into usable information for data scientists and business analysts to interpret.
- Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects
- Requirements
- BTech/ MTech in Computer Science, IT, or similar field
- Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
- Hands on experience in SQL.
- In-depth knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, and similar frameworks.
- Experience in agile development methodologies is a must
- Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
- Knowledge on cloud technologies or tools.
- Working knowledge of R and/or Python is preferred
- Adequate knowledge of data structures, algorithms and other foundational concepts of Computer Science
- Ability to solve complex networking, data, and software issues.
- Data engineering certification is a plus
- Fundamental knowledge of big data handling methods and practices
