JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Translate business strategies into data governance actions for the assigned domain
- Execute standards for data within assigned domain
- Collaborate closely with Data Governance team and other data stewards utilizing constant communication
- Coach business units as necessary for data governance understanding
- Give input on tool selection

Data accountability
- Facilitate Working Group meetings and ensure attendance
- Invite relevant stakeholders as needed

Data prioritization, metadata, data quality, data security, data retention
- Create the first draft for a data element’s all data governance related activities excluding quality and then get approval from Working Group
- Prioritize data element; based on data element’s tier
- Establish business definition and business metadata
- Determine sensitivity level of data element
- Determine retention period of data
- Determine Golden Source of data
- Get approval from Working Group
- Define data quality rules
- Monitor and track data quality issues
- Prioritize data quality issues
- Establish remediation plans and track
- Overall conduct all the updates for above activities as well

Policies, standards and processes:

- Review and give input on policies, standards and processes
- Have a good understanding of all policies

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- 3+ years management experience
- Experience with data design, data audit, data governance and IT a plus, specially in banking
- Strong execution skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to influence others
- Strong project management leadership
- Experience in performance management metrics
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
- Basic understanding of technology
- Knowledge of the data sources, transformation rules, and uses of the data for the area of stewardship
