- **Role Description**_
- **This is an on-site, full-time role located in Nashik for a Food Technologist.**_The role involves the individual to own the end-to-end lifecycle of every Zama product — from formulation, quality standardization to packaging execution, quality assurance, lab testing, compliance, and coordination with design, marketing, and sourcing teams. This role ensures that every Zama product that goes out into the world is exceptional — technically sound, safe, compliant, and aligned with the brand’s storytelling and aesthetic standards. The person in this role will also engage in research and development (R&D) activities to innovate and improve food products.
- **Qualifications**_
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
- Hands-on, meticulous, and comfortable switching between factory floors and creative meetings.
- Knowledge on food safety and compliance processes in accordance with laws
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Bonus: Prior experience with organic certification or export documentation.

- **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**_
- **Product Development + Standardization**_
- Develop, refine, and standardize quality (across categories: spices, oils, condiments, sweeteners, etc.).
- Conduct shelf-life, stability, and sensory evaluations.
- Work with producers, farmers, and manufacturers to maintain consistent product quality.
- Maintain technical sheets, nutritional values, ingredient declarations, and costings.
- **Quality & Food Safety**_
- Oversee compliance with FSSAI, ISO22000/FSSC 22000, and export norms (EU/USDA Organic, etc.).
- Manage documentation for COAs, batch records, HACCP, and traceability.
- Coordinate internal and external lab testing.
- Ensure every SKU meets Zama’s clean label standards and ingredient integrity.
- **Packaging & Labelling**_
- Collaborate with branding and design teams to finalize labels and packaging formats.
- Verify regulatory accuracy (nutritional tables, ingredient lists, claims, allergen declarations).
- Liaise with packaging vendors, printers, and suppliers to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
- Source new packaging innovations aligned with sustainability and shelf life.
- **Cross-Functional Coordination**_
- Bridge branding, procurement, marketing, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth product launches.
- Track progress from ideation → sampling → approval → production → dispatch.
- Own the product launch calendar and coordinate trials, pilots, and feedback loops.
- **Vendor & Supply Chain Collaboration**_
- Audit manufacturing units and packaging suppliers for hygiene and compliance.
- Work closely with raw material sourcing teams to ensure ingredient consistency and documentation.
- Support the purchase team with technical inputs during vendor selection and negotiation.
- Identify new sources/products as per Zama Standards
- **Product Story & Differentiation**_
- Identify and highlight product USPs that can be used by marketing and design teams.
- Support storytelling with factual, credible inputs (origin details, process notes, nutrition).
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
