**Position Title**: Assembly Engineer

**Job Summary**:
V.K. Valves is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembly Engineer to join our team. The Assembly Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the assembly processes of valve products. This includes designing and improving assembly methods, ensuring quality standards are met, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve production goals.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Assembly Process Design**: Develop and implement efficient assembly processes for valves, ensuring the integration of best practices and adherence to engineering specifications.
- **Process Improvement**: Identify areas for process optimization, design assembly jigs and fixtures, and propose solutions to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product consistency.
- **Production Oversight**: Supervise the assembly floor, ensuring that all tasks are carried out in compliance with company procedures, timelines, and safety regulations.
- **Quality Control**: Work with the quality team to establish inspection criteria for assembled products, ensuring all valves meet the required standards before shipment.
- **Troubleshooting**: Diagnose and address any issues or defects that arise during the assembly process, working closely with the production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions.
- **Technical Support**: Provide technical support to assembly line workers and train them on new processes, tools, and equipment.
- **Documentation**: Create and maintain detailed documentation for assembly procedures, work instructions, and engineering changes.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the design, quality, and production teams to ensure the seamless integration of new products into the assembly line and troubleshoot any assembly-related challenges.
- **Inventory Management**: Coordinate with the supply chain and purchasing teams to ensure that all necessary components are available for assembly.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in an assembly engineering role, preferably in the valve or manufacturing industry.
- **Technical Skills**: Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, including familiarity with tools, jigs, fixtures, and best practices in valve assembly.
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- **Knowledge**: Solid understanding of valve systems and components, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Proven experience in diagnosing and solving assembly-related issues, with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
- **Communication Skills**: good verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with different teams and report on progress.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and other design tools.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other quality management systems.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

**Salary**: 13k-20k
