**Quantity Surveyor (QS)**
**Location**: Trivandrum, Kerala
**Salary**: ₹25,000 per month

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare detailed **cost estimates** for construction projects based on plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct **site measurements** and manage the preparation of quantities.
- Assist in the preparation of **BOQs (Bill of Quantities)** and ensure their accuracy.
- Monitor project costs and assist in tracking the **budget** to ensure the project stays within financial limits.
- Prepare **contract documents** and ensure the legal aspects of contracts are adhered to.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to obtain quotes and maintain project schedules.
- Prepare **interim payment certificates** for contractors.
- Participate in **cost analysis** and evaluate changes in project scope and assess their impact on cost and schedule.
- Maintain a detailed **record of all project costs** and assist in project financial reporting.

**Key Requirements**:

- Minimum of **1-2 years of experience** in quantity surveying, preferably in construction.
- Strong knowledge of **quantity takeoff**, **cost estimation**, and **BOQ preparation**.
- Good understanding of construction drawings and project specifications.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and standard procedures.
- Proficient in **Microsoft Excel** and other relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Degree or diploma in **Civil Engineering** or related field.
- Knowledge of construction project management software.
- Familiarity with local market rates and suppliers in the **Trivandrum area**.
