Audio Editor

**Job Summary**

We are seeking Audio Editors with a strong background in audio engineering, music mixing, music technology as well as sound design for creating soundtracks by cutting and synchronizing to the picture and sound elements as well as handling all sound/audio post-production.

**Responsibilities**
- Help in assembling the overall sound design of a completed production
- Work on selecting, recording/re-recording, and piecing together the right sounds to fit the edited footage
- Carry out the sound budget and manage the schedule to ensure it goes according to plan.
- create, update, maintain, and add to sample and sound libraries
- develop the sound concept for a project and a sound map or storyboard from a script or project description
- use digital sound processing (DSP) to manipulate and synthesize sound and music
- enhance or distort sounds using samplers, synthesizers, and audio plug-ins
- mix sounds using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW)
- work alongside other professionals including sound technicians and engineers, directors, composers, musicians, actors, and producers.

**Qualifications**

Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in music or audio-visual communications technologies such as Audio Production/Audio Design/Audio Technology/Audio and Music Technology/Music Production and Recording Arts etc.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent working understanding of acoustics, sound recording processes, and electronics
- Good experience in dialogue recording, automated dialogue replacement, foley, and sound effects or music editing.
- Expert knowledge of all post-production sound equipment, such as equipment setup and calibration as well as processes and procedures, both analog and digital.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving know-how
- The capability to mix in a variety of formats, including Stereo Dolby Atmos, as well as Spatial Audio
- Abilities in a range of post-production skills, including editing and mastering

**Working Conditions**

**Salary and Benefits**
- Payment can be either:
**Hourly payment** - paid per hour for the work at an agreed-upon rate.

or

**Project-based payment** - paid a set amountas per the agreement with the client, to complete a project with a defined scope and deadline.
- Payment rates would be based on your skills, experience, and the scope of the project.
- Payment rates can be negotiated with the clients.
