As the **Principal Architect**, you will be responsible for leading and managing the architectural roadmap for products and operational initiatives at the SCIEX India Development Center (IDC) in Bangalore. In this hands-on role, you will collaborate closely with our Software Applications, Research, and Operations teams—as well as other cross-functional partners—to design and develop Mass Spectrometer software products and capabilities, while also creating operational tools to boost organizational productivity, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency in product development. You will spend approximately 30-40% of your time coding to bring your designs and architectures to life, ensuring that best practices and innovative solutions are implemented throughout the organization. You will partner with Sciex IDC leadership to build technical capability at Sciex IDC.

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:

- ** Lead** the design and development of robust software architectures for highly complex products, ensuring integrity, stability, and scalability.
- ** Develop** operational tools that increase organizational productivity, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency in product development.
- ** Provide** architectural direction to a team of architects and designers.
- ** Create** and maintain both current and future state architectural blueprints.
- ** Communicate** architectural decisions, plans, goals, and strategies to teams and leadership.
- ** Advance** engineering expertise across functions by proactively advising and sharing insights with subordinates, peers, and senior management.
- ** Be a mentor/coach for upcoming architects in the team and strengthen architectural muscle at Sciex IDC**:

- **Develop**, **communicate**, and **deploy** enterprise architecture governance, integrating seamlessly with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.

**The essential requirements of the job include**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 16+ years of experience in designing and developing complex software products.
- 10+ years of experience with leading design and implementation of n-tier systems, reusable libraries and development frameworks in C#/.NET.
- 10+ years hands on experience in software design using proven principles, design patterns, modeling, architectural patterns, and domain analysis in C#/.NET.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience in database technologies such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Experience identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and memory leaks using profiling tools (e.g., dotTrace, NProfiler).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- The work hours are flexible and to cater to the needs of global customers and stakeholders, you may need to attend calls and virtual meetings as per different time zones

**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in**:

- A background in leveraging AI to improve operational performance.
- Experience working with distributed teams in a global setting.
