**Client Communication**:

- Follow up on **payments**, documentation, and feedback.
- **Logistics Coordination**:

- Speak with **freight forwarders**, **shipping lines**, **customs brokers** to book shipments or resolve transit issues.
- **Documentation Follow-up**:

- Contact internal departments (QA/QC, Production, Regulatory Affairs) to ensure timely document submission (COA, COO, MSDS, etc.).
- **Lead Generation (sometimes)**:

- In small-to-mid pharma companies, you may also reach out to **potential clients/distributors in target countries**—similar to a BDE role.

**For Import**:

- **Supplier Coordination**:

- **Customs & CHA Coordination**:

- Talk to **CHAs (Custom House Agents)** to track the status of customs clearance, duty payments, and required approvals (e.g., NOC from CDSCO).
- **Bank & Finance Team**:

- Follow up with banks regarding **LCs (Letters of Credit)**, **payment remittances**, and **foreign inward remittance certificates** (FIRC).

**Soft Skills Required for Calling**:

- Excellent spoken English and clarity
- Persuasive and polite communication
