Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain custom Shopify themes and apps, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.
- Create and optimize Shopify stores using Liquid and other backend programming languages.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and designers to implement site changes, improvements, and new features.
- Ensure site security, performance, and scalability to handle high traffic and complex business operations.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues in the Shopify backend to ensure the smooth operation of eCommerce platforms.
- Implement payment gateways, shipping, taxes, and other eCommerce-related backend functionalities.
- Monitor site speed and implement optimizations to improve performance.
- Manage Shopify’s webhooks and third-party API integration.
- Provide technical support and maintenance for existing Shopify websites and apps.

Skills and Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience working with Shopify and Shopify Plus.
- Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- In-depth knowledge of Shopify’s APIs, webhooks, and app integration.
- Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
- Proficiency in backend development using Node.js, PHP, Ruby, or Python is preferred.
- Strong understanding of MySQL, MongoDB, or other databases.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
