We are seeking an experienced and motivated technology licensing paralegal (legal specialist) with 2+ years experience to join our dynamic Product Legal Team. We are a collaborative team with a passion for supporting the products teams and business units of the company. We support licensing matters related to product development and release readiness across the organization and enjoy working with talented individuals on cutting edge technologies to find pragmatic solutions to challenges.

**What you get to do in this role**:

- Assist in the preparation for and the reviewing, drafting and negotiating of technology licensing agreements.
- Assist with product launch processes, including technology release checklists and questionnaires.
- Support and build positive relationships with our product development teams, business units, and other cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate with colleagues in the Legal department, including privacy, commercial, marketing, and patents teams.
- Assist in the development and delivery of guidance and trainings to internal groups, including engineering, program management, release management and other teams.
- Proactively identify areas for improvements throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Assist in the gathering, analysis, and report preparation of data and other metrics for team planning and other purposes.
- Help organize and manage team documents and resources libraries and the execution and archiving of agreements.

**Qualifications** To be successful in this role, we need someone who has**:

- 2+ years of relevant experience as a paralegal in the software and SaaS online services industry with experience with technology licensing and intellectual property matters.
- A dedication to develop a deep understanding of ServiceNow’s products and businesses.
- Proficient at negotiating and drafting various technology license agreements, with assistance.
- Familiarity with intellectual property law (including with respect to software licensing, software-as-a-service, and open-source software), privacy law and data security issues.
- An approachable, inquisitive, and flexible manner with a sense of humor.
- Is thorough, efficient, responsive to teammates and clients, excels at working on a team and also able to self-start and work independently.
- Must have effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated practical, real world, collaborative approach to problem solving with the ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgement in business critical and escalated timeframes.
