**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Development of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging and convert them in to KLDs
- Providing inputs in the product development stage on the techno-commercial feasibility
- Benchmarking of different packaging/competitor products as per market trends
- Identify cost savings opportunities by benchmarking competitor products
- Developing SOPs to validate new packaging materials thru trials to ensure defect-free packaging material for new launches
- Development, Standardization and Documentation of testing methods
- Checking the quality of packaging materials through internal/external laboratories
- Conduct stability tests, line trials, and transit trials in coordination with the formulator, operations and logistics team
- Work in coordination with operations teams to suggest suitable substrates to ensure run ability for various packaging machines (manual, semi-auto, auto)
- Handling troubleshooting at production sites on issues related to packaging operations
- Good understanding of regulatory compliances pertaining to packaging materials
- Packaging development with various materials: fibreboard, corrugated, plastics, films.
- Packaging development and testing for food products in a modified atmosphere packaging environment.
- The individual will also work closely with quality, finance, procurement, regulatory, operations, consultants and outside vendors.
- Execute projects with complete scope from primary through tertiary packaging development.
- Creation of specifications and BOMs.
- Creation and maintenance of timelines.
- Completion of qualification programs for new package designs and materials.
- Completion of cost savings initiatives as related to package designs and materials.
- Product commercialization.
- Work with the graphics department to determine how printing affects package performances.
- Travel to vendor and manufacturing locations for support of packaging project activities.
- Hands-on evaluation of packaging for conformance to project requirements. These activities can occur in warehouses and in packaging laboratory studies.
- Conduct Shelf Life tests and write protocols.
- Delivery focus and ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to work in cross-functional/cultural team
