Fitter

The Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical components used in the manufacturing of transformers or CRGO (Cold Rolled Grain Oriented) steel products. This role involves fitting parts, troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring that all machinery and equipment run efficiently to meet production requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Assembly and Installation**:

- Assemble transformer components, mechanical parts, and assemblies by fitting parts such as bushings, terminals, supports, and frames.
- Install equipment, machinery, and components used in transformer or CRGO production lines.
- Ensure proper alignment, fitting, and adjustment of mechanical parts to meet design specifications.
- **Maintenance and Repairs**:

- Perform preventive maintenance and routine checks on machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures in transformers, CRGO production machines, and other related equipment.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as necessary to repair and modify mechanical components.
- Assist in the replacement of defective or worn-out parts to maintain operational efficiency.
- **Blueprint and Technical Drawing Interpretation**:

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine parts and components required for assembly and installation.
- Ensure that all assembly work is done according to precise specifications and tolerances.
- Identify potential issues in the design or assembly process and suggest improvements or adjustments.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect parts, assemblies, and equipment during and after assembly for defects, accuracy, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, as well as industry regulations.
- Report any discrepancies, defects, or quality issues to supervisors or engineers and take corrective actions when needed.
- **Tool and Equipment Management**:

- Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and machinery used for assembly and maintenance.
- Ensure tools and machines are in good working condition and report any malfunctioning tools to the supervisor for replacement or repair.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area to ensure smooth operations and minimize hazards.
- **Collaboration with Teams**:

- Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure efficient assembly and maintenance processes.
- Assist in training junior fitters or other team members on proper fitting and assembly techniques.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure equipment is set up and ready for operations.
- **Health, Safety, and Compliance**:

- Follow all safety regulations and procedures while performing assembly, fitting, and maintenance tasks.
- Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to company safety protocols.
- Comply with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards to minimize workplace hazards and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure all activities are compliant with industry standards and regulations, including ISO or other relevant certifications.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- High School Diploma or ITI Fitting, or a related trade is preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of1 years of experience as a fitter in a manufacturing or industrial environment, ideally in transformer or CRGO steel production.
- Experience with mechanical assembly, fitting, and installation is essential.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Proficiency in using fitting tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and tools used in transformer or CRGO production.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
