Contributing to current projects where you analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate system. You’ll be involved early to offer solutions, help decide whether something can be done, and identify the technical and timeline risks up front. Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 7+ Years of Experience in AS/400 Administration.
- iSeries H/W and S/W config, install, migration and maintenance.
- iSeires PTF/APAR management.
- Backup and Recovery management using BRMS.
- OS/400 Security Management.
- Problem and Change Management process and tool knowledge.
- Performance and Capacity Management (PM400 and Perf Navigator).
- iSeries Job Schedulers - Robot, IBM Advanced Job Scheduler (IJS) and the Native Job Scheduler (WRKJOBSCDE).
- Power system, VIOS and HMC management
- Expertise knowledge in High Availability
- PCI and SOX Compliance knowledge.
- IBM supported network architecture and configurations - TCP/IP, SNI, SNA.

Preferred Technical and Professional Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Knowledge on iSeries environment with VIOS/External storage and Virtual Tape Library like ProtecTier/DSI VTL/EMC Data domain.
- Knowledge of Automation/Monitoring tool.
- Working knowledge on Power6/Power7/Power8/Power9.
