**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Individual Counseling**: Provide individual counseling to students facing academic challenges, social difficulties, emotional distress, or personal crises. This includes active listening, empathy, and appropriate counseling techniques.
- **Group Counseling**: Conduct group counseling sessions on various topics relevant to students' development, such as stress management, self-esteem building, social skills, and conflict resolution.
- **Crisis Intervention**: Provide immediate support and intervention to students experiencing crises, such as anxiety attacks, panic attacks, or thoughts of self-harm. This may involve coordinating with parents, school administration, and external mental health professionals.
- **Parent Consultation**: Consult with parents regarding their child's academic, social, and emotional well-being. Offer guidance and support to parents on effective parenting strategies and communication techniques.
- **Teacher Collaboration**: Collaborate with teachers to identify students who may be in need of counseling services. Provide teachers with strategies to support students' emotional and social development in the classroom.
- **Referral Services**: Refer students and families to external mental health professionals or community resources when necessary. Maintain a network of referral partners.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**: Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and needs. Use appropriate assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of counseling interventions.
- **Prevention Programs**: Develop and implement preventive programs on topics such as bullying prevention, substance abuse prevention, and mental health awareness.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate and confidential records of student counseling sessions. Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal requirements regarding confidentiality.
- **Advocacy**: Advocate for the needs of students and promote a positive and inclusive school climate.
- **Professional Development**: Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in school counseling. Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: M.A. in Clinical Psychology or Educational Psychology (essential)

**Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Student Counselor, preferably in a school setting.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong empathy and active listening skills.
- Ability to build rapport with students, parents, and teachers.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development.
- Understanding of various counseling techniques and approaches.
- Ability to assess and identify students' needs.
- Crisis intervention skills.
- Knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal requirements related to counseling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer skills.

**Salary**:
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
