Patient-Centered Care: Geriatricians prioritize patient-centered care by:

- Understanding the patient's goals and preferences for treatment.
- Collaborating with the patient and their family to develop a personalized care plan.
- Addressing not only the medical conditions but also the broader impact on the patient's life and quality of life.

4. Coordination of Care: Geriatricians often work as part of a multidisciplinary team, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, such as: Primary care physicians, Specialists in other fields, Social workers and therapists, and Nursing home staff. 5. Advocacy and Support: Geriatricians advocate for their patients' rights and needs, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support.
