Production Supervisor

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Production Planning and Scheduling**:

- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing downtime.
- Coordinate with sales and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Monitor production performance and adjust plans as needed to address fluctuations in demand or unforeseen challenges.
- **Cost Optimization**:

- Identify opportunities to reduce production costs without compromising product quality or safety standards.
- Analyze production processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement cost-saving measures.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable pricing for raw materials and other inputs.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any issues related to product quality or consistency.
- Continuously improve production processes to enhance product quality and consistency while minimizing waste.
- **Team Leadership and Development**:

- Lead and motivate production teams, providing clear direction, coaching, and support to achieve production targets.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Identify training needs and opportunities for skills development among production staff.
- **Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Implement and maintain effective safety protocols and procedures to minimize workplace accidents and hazards.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among production staff.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience in production management, with a minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and cost optimization principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Effective leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
