Overview: PAC SCM I Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
- Analyzes software and software documentation for final release and distribution. Responsible for duplication, packaging and shipment of software for customers and other company organizations. Verifies shipments from other release group members. Maintains physical and online software library including system for offsite retrieval.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES.Description
- Configuration Management Processing
- Duplicate and package software, create shipping documentation in time to meet company software delivery schedules.
- Coordinate special handling instructions with SCM, field engineering, and order administration for special handling.
- Audit SCM packages for conformance to standards.
- Verify software and software documents turned over from SCM.
- Prepare software items for test and perform post ATP disk verification.
- Release varied types of software and software documents.
- Resolve any discrepancies with software and software records that do not meet department release standards.
- Research inquiries from customer, PMO, field engineering regarding software shipments and distribution requirements.
- Assist on special projects (i.e. review and update of department work instructions, data migration between databases, and in training of new members of the release group).
- Documentation
- Update SCM Release Records and SCM Library.
- Track and document software configuration baselines for customers and production.
- Support certification documentation, maintain status accounting information, and coordinate software release.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Configuration Management and/or Technical Publication discipline required which should include CMMI, SEI and AS9100 type standards.
- 0-5 years of experience.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lead department projects that require management of allocated team members.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to resolve issues with SCM, field engineering, management, order administration and program management.
- Ability to fully document SCM processes.
- Ability to analyze change documentation to ensure that it is adequate to generate SBR’s.
- Ability to resolve discrepancies between software and software documentation provided by software developers and SCM records.
- Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision making.
- Normally receives detailed instructions on work and works under close supervision.
