Job Role: Redis DBA + Oracle (Database Administrator)

Job Location: Bandra Mumbai

- A Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science,Information Technology, or related fields is preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
Redis Database Management: (3-5 years)

Oracle Database Management: (3+ Years)

Set up, configure, and manage **Redis clusters** (both single-node and sharded clusters).

Perform regular backups of Redis databases and ensure proper disaster recovery planning.

Ensure high availability and implement Redis replication **(Master-Slave, Sentinel, and Cluster setups).**

Configure Redis persistence mechanisms such as **RDB snapshots and AOF (Append-Only File).**

Perform upgrades and patch management for Redis versions.

Conduct regular Redis database maintenance, including key expiration management, memory management, and flushing of stale data.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a Redis DBA or in a similar role managing high-performance, distributed databases.

Experience with Redis clustering, **replication, and** **failover techniques (Redis Sentinel, Redis Cluster).**

Expertise in Redis configuration and operations, including but not limited toRedis persistence mechanisms (RDB, AOF),memory management, andeviction policies.

Familiarity with Redis monitoring tools (**e.g.,Prometheus,Grafana,Redis-CLI,ELK stack).**

Strong understanding ofRedis data types (strings, hashes, lists, sets, sorted sets, bitmaps, geospatial indexes).

Experience in setting up Redis onLinux environments and configuring it for performance and reliability.

Working knowledge ofnetworking (e.g., Redis over SSL, firewalls, clustering, and multi-region replication).

Configure and manageRedis Sentinel for automatic failover and monitoring.

Collaboration with DevOps/Engineering Teams:
Documentation & Reporting:

- Tools and Technologies:
Familiarity with Redis Sentinel for high availability and automatic failover.

Experience with Redis Cluster for horizontal scaling and sharding.

Familiarity with monitoring tools **like Prometheus,Grafana, NewRelic, or other APM tools.**

Exposure to containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for deploying Redis clusters in cloud and on-prem environments.

Proficient inscripting (Bash, Python, etc.) to automate Redis tasks like backups, restores, and monitoring.

Participate in code reviews to ensure Redis best practices are followed.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with **cloud-based Redis deployments (AWS ElastiCache, Azure Redis Cache, Google Cloud Memory store).**
- Experience in data security practices, including encryption, SSL, and access control management in Redis.
- Knowledge of other NoSQL databases **(e.g.,Cassandra,MongoDB,Couchbase)** to understand the broader NoSQL ecosystem.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
