**Duties and Responsibilities**: - **Trend analysis**:Stay updated on current fashion trends and identify opportunities to incorporate them into knitwear designs. - **Material selection**:Choose appropriate yarns and fibers based on desired texture, drape, and functionality (e.g., wool, cashmere, cotton, acrylic). - **Pattern development**:Design unique knit patterns using various stitch techniques like ribbing, cable knit, intarsia, and jacquard to achieve desired aesthetics. - **Color palette creation**:Develop color combinations that align with the brand image and seasonal trends. - **Sketching and design development**:Translate design ideas into detailed sketches and technical drawings, including garment construction details. - **Prototyping**:Create knit samples using knitting machines to test design concepts and ensure feasibility. - **Fit adjustments**:Collaborate with fit models to refine garment fit and make necessary adjustments. - **Production oversight**:Work with manufacturers to ensure accurate production of knitwear items according to design specifications. - **Presentation and marketing**:Present collections to buyers and stakeholders, showcasing the design aesthetic and market positioning **Requirements and skills**: We are seeking a highly skilled Fashion Designer with: - 2-3 years of experience (or freshers with relevant skills) - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator - Excellent hand-sketching skills - Strong design and conceptual abilities **Education**: - Bachelor's degree in Design from NIFT or a top Fashion Design Institute. **"Think you're a perfect fit?
