Principal Associate, SWE - DevOps

We’re looking for a Principal Associate - DevOps Engineer to join the Machine Learning Experience (MLX) team

The MLX team is at the forefront of how Capital One builds and deploys responsible ML models and features; we onboard and educate associates on the ML platforms and products that the whole company uses; we drive new innovation and research; and we’re working to seamlessly infuse ML into the fabric of the company. The full ML experience we’re creating will enable our lines of business to focus their time and resources on advancing their specific machine learning objectives — all while continuing to deliver next-generation machine learning-driven products and services for our customers.

What You’ll Do
- Lead technical initiatives and problem solving in the SRE and DevOps space for critical model and feature platforms; collaborating with teams and stakeholders to influence and deliver continuous improvement and automation.
- Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community
- Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based and mobile solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of customers achieve financial empowerment
- Utilize technologies like Python, Ruby, Kotlin, Swift, Jenkins, Fastlane, New Relic, and Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 4 years of experience in DevOps Engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
- At least 2 years of experience with Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- At least 2 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience

Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with Terraform or Ansible
- 2+ years of experience with container orchestration services including Docker or Kubernetes
- 2+ experience with coding and scripting (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl or Ruby)
- 2+ years of experience working with Agile Development Practices
