Summary:
The QC In-charge plays a critical role in ensuring the highest quality printing output in our flexographic printing unit. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining strict quality control measures throughout the printing process, identifying and rectifying printing defects, and collaborating with production teams to achieve optimal results. You will need a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

**Responsibilities**:

- Pre-press: o Review customer artwork and specifications for potential quality issues. o Analyze and verify prepress files for accuracy and color fidelity. o Work with prepress department to ensure proper platemaking and image processing.
- Press Operations: o Perform initial press setup and verify print registration, ink density, and color accuracy. o Regularly monitor printing quality throughout the production run, identifying and documenting defects such as dot gain, registration errors, ink smudging, or color inconsistencies. o Conduct random sampling and quality checks based on established protocols. o Utilize inspection equipment like densitometers, spectrophotometers, and microscopes to analyze print quality metrics.
- Quality Control Management: o Maintain and update quality control documentation and records. o Analyze trends in defect occurrence and recommend corrective actions to improve print quality. o Liaise with production teams to resolve printing issues and implement process improvements.
- Conduct internal audits and report on non-compliance with quality standards. o Stay updated on latest trends and advancements in flexographic printing and quality control technologies.
- Additional Responsibilities: o Train and mentor QC technicians on inspection procedures and equipment operation. o Manage inventory of QC materials and equipment. o Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality management. o Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Minimum Diploma in Printing Technology or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in quality control for flexographic printing.
- Strong understanding of flexographic printing principles, processes, and materials.
- Proficient in quality control tools and equipment, including densitometers, spectrophotometers, and microscopes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies and procedures.
