**Your responsibilities**

Optimise the IKEA shopping experience in the shop to secure satisfied customers and increase sales. Maximise sales in the area of responsibility using knowledge of the particular product range, that would be top sellers, 3 Aces and 1 King and the local market and customers. Make use of IKEA tools and the experience and expertise of the colleagues.

Support the efficient working of the IKEA mechanical sales system to ensure the continued success of the IKEA Concept. Make contribution to fulfilling the four tasks of the IKEA store:
To act as a highly efficient, and staffed sales mechanism, to show home furnishing solutions full of inspiring home furnishing ideas, to serve as a well-qualified home furnishing specialist, and to provide a day out for the whole family.
- Actively approach customers who could require additional help. Identify their needs by asking the right questions and advise them on the best solutions for their homes in order to exceed their expectations.
- Understand how to use the different IKEA sales and communication channels and know-how for the different customers you meet.
- Keep the area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked, and ensure that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give customers a positive shopping experience.
- Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits, and share this knowledge with customers and colleagues.
- Understand the store and department action plans. Take responsibility for the department goals and know how to contribute to it.
- Actively offer all the services available in the IKEA store to help customers make informed choices, results in a better shopping experience for them.
- Lead and/or support the implementation of planned commercial activities involving the concerned department throughout the store.
- Ensure to maximise sales whilst maintaining profitability by knowing and actively steering towards the top selling and prioritised products (e.g. overstock/övertag).
- Demonstrate the ability to analyse and adjust sales space capacities based on system parameters (sales location management) to secure high stock availability.
- Be familiar with the IKEA social and environmental commitments and know the ways to contribute to sustainability.

To achieve an enjoyable, convenient and successful shopping and buying experience that leads to increased sales and sustained long-term profitability. To create satisfied customers in an efficient and effective way by using all media and sales channels available in order to attract and encourage more customers to visit more often and buy more. This is achieved by optimising the sales priorities using commercial activities and securing the right forecasts for the total IKEA offer. The main responsibilities are to ensure satisfied customers, develop and execute sales steering and selling the IKEA way.

This is a part time assignment for 24 hours
