**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Freight Broker** to join our logistics and transportation team. The Freight Broker is responsible for coordinating shipments between shippers and carriers, negotiating rates, tracking freight, and ensuring the smooth, efficient delivery of goods.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers.
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers to ensure profitability and competitive pricing.
- Schedule and coordinate the pickup and delivery of shipments.
- Track shipments in real-time to ensure timely delivery and address any issues proactively.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for each shipment.
- Resolve shipment and delivery issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Monitor market trends and rate changes to maintain competitiveness.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and CRM tools effectively.
- Generate leads and build a network of carrier and customer contacts.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics preferred).
- Proven experience as a freight broker or in a logistics/transportation role.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and freight market dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Book of business (existing carrier and/or shipper relationships).
- Familiarity with freight classes, shipping documentation, and Incoterms.
- Licensed freight broker or knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations.
