**Job Title: Safety Officer**
**Location: Taloja**
**Experience: 3-7 years (Chemical Industry experience mandatory)**
**Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry or Diploma/B.E. in Safety, Industrial Safety, or Environmental Science.**

**Responsibilities**:
**1.Safety Compliance & Regulations**:

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and statutory requirements related to chemical plant operations.
- Implement and monitor adherence to safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for plant operations.

**2.Workplace Safety & Training**:

- Conduct regular safety training and awareness programs for employees, contract workers, and plant personnel.
- Organize mock drills for fire safety, chemical spills, and emergency response preparedness.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safe working

practices.

**3.Incident Investigation & Reporting**:

- Investigate workplace accidents, near-miss incidents, and unsafe acts/conditions.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents and recommend corrective and

preventive measures.
- Maintain safety records and documentation as per regulatory guidelines.

**4.Chemical & Process Safety**:

- Monitor the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals.
- Ensure compliance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Personal
- Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure safe plant operations.

**5.Emergency Preparedness & Crisis Management**:

- Develop and implement emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
- Coordinate with local authorities, fire departments, and environmental agencies for safety compliance.

**6.Safety Audits & Inspections**:

- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and rectify potential hazards.
- Ensure fire-fighting equipment, safety alarms, and emergency exits are well-maintained.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external safety audits.

**Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of chemical plant safety standards, including OSHA, Factory Act, and Pollution Control Board regulations.
- Experience in HAZOP, HIRA, and PHA (Process Hazard Analysis).
- Good communication skills to train and educate workers on safety protocols.
- Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage emergency situations effectively.

**Preferred Certifications**:

- NEBOSH / IOSH Certification
- Diploma in Industrial Safety (Recognized by State Govt.)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
