**Job Title**: District Coordinator - Tourism Development
**Location**: Saharanpur, Basti, Muzaffarnagar, Sant Kabir Nagar (Uttar Pradesh)
**Employment Type**: Full-time, Project-based

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking proactive and community-driven individuals to serve as **District Coordinators** for a rural and cultural tourism initiative across Saharanpur, Basti, Muzaffarnagar, and Sant Kabir Nagar. The Coordinator will play a pivotal role in identifying local tourism assets, developing sustainable tourism products, engaging communities, and enhancing the district's tourism potential through guided tours, homestays, and agro-tourism projects.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Conduct in-depth research on local heritage, attractions, and cultural sites.
- Identify and conceptualize unique tourism products and immersive experiences.
- Create curated travel itineraries and thematic tours tailored to different tourist profiles.
- Facilitate community-based tourism initiatives by engaging local youth, artisans, and self-help groups.
- Promote sustainable tourism practices in partnership with local stakeholders and government bodies.
- Organize orientation and capacity-building sessions for local communities and tourism service providers.
- Support the **identification and skilling of beneficiaries** for tourism-related livelihoods.
- Promote and support **registration and development of homestays** to host rural tourists.
- Develop and register **a minimum of 4 unique agro-tourism properties** per district showcasing agriculture, rural life, folk traditions, and cultural heritage.
- Promote local crafts, products, and folklore through tourism platforms and exhibitions.
- Submit **Detailed Project Reports (DPRs)** highlighting infrastructure gaps and tourism development opportunities.
- Coordinate and conduct **guided tours and treks**, promoting responsible travel practices.
- Maintain documentation and regular reporting on project progress and community impact.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Rural Development, Social Work, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of field experience in community development, tourism, or rural enterprise (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of local culture, geography, language, and tourism potential.
- communication, facilitation, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and under mínimal supervision.
- Basic skills in report writing, planning, and field data collection.

**Additional Preference**:

- Experience in handling grassroots projects and familiarity with UP's rural and cultural landscape is a significant advantage
