Responsibilities:
- **Client Engagement**:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset managers, and other financial institutions.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored equity derivative solutions to meet their investment and hedging objectives.
- **Product Knowledge**:
- Develop deep expertise in equity derivatives, including options, futures, swaps, and structured products.
- Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and new products in the equity derivatives space.
- **Sales Strategy**:
- Promote and sell equity derivative products and solutions to clients, helping them understand the advantages and risks of various products.
- Work closely with the trading desk to ensure efficient execution and competitive pricing.
- **Market Analysis**:
- Provide market insights and analysis to clients, keeping them informed about market conditions and trends in equity derivatives.
- Help clients navigate volatility, manage risk, and take advantage of market opportunities.
- **Risk Management**:
- Assist clients in managing their risk exposure by structuring trades and creating custom hedging strategies using equity derivatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal risk management frameworks.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**:
- Work with research, trading, and risk teams to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
- Support the development and execution of sales campaigns, product training, and marketing initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications:
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field. A master's degree or CFA certification is a plus.
- **Experience**: Prior experience in equity derivatives sales or trading, or in a related area like investment banking, is highly preferred.
- **Technical Skills**: Strong quantitative and analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and other relevant financial tools. Familiarity with trading platforms and risk management software is a plus.
- **Communication**: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex products and strategies clearly to clients.
- **Market Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of equity markets, derivatives, and risk management strategies.
