Prosthetist

The person in this position is responsible for correct selection of prostheses as per the physical presentation of the customer and in a perfect manner to achieve the best customer satisfaction during all the stages of fixing the prostheses and training period.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Knowledge of technical specifications of the manufactured products of the company.
- Conduct your functions as per the reglamets of the company and job responsibilities.
- Examine patients and evaluate needs resulting from disease, traumatic injury, or congenital problems.
- Assists physicians in pre-surgical planning and in the formulation of prescriptions for prostheses or orthoses to prevent or limit disability or restore mobility.
- Takes measurements, designs, selects materials, and fabricates and repairs (if need) internal and external sockets on the basis of own manufacturing unit or from outsourcing.
- Makes the prostheses with outside energy resources - bionicle prostheses.
- Record measurements to ensure that the prosthesis is fabricated and fit properly according to the patient’s needs.
- Participates in consiliums in prosthetic evaluation processes.
- Produce the reports on the basis of photos and videos on the quality of the sockets manufactured by the outsources companies.
- Performs fitting including static and dynamic alignments.
- Detects the defects of the prostheses parts and components and suggests how to avoid them and improve their functionality.
- Agree upon the terms and technical specifications together with related departments (manufacturing and design) on manufacturing and supply of needed materials.
- Put the tasks for engineers of the manufacturing department to make the product in a timely manner.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of appliances for patients needs; makes necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit, function, and quality of workmanship.
- Maintains patient records and instructs patients about the proper use of prosthesis and orthopedic devices. Provides specialized guidance concerning operation of devices for physical therapists and family members.
- Conduct the issuance of the product to customer and basic rehabilitation processes as per the standards of the company.
- Provides periodic adjustments and evaluations of patient progress.
- Сollecting the feedback on the functionality and maintenance of the products and writing the appropriate reports on that.
- Conduct patients’ training on usage of prostheses.
- Tracking prosthetics incidents : socket correction, replacement when need arises.
- Train the new employees and consult the current ones on the aspects of prosthetic works done within the company.
- Conduct training of the regional third party prosthetists or prosthetic organizations on specification, manufacturing features, usage, maintenance and tuning of our products.
- Participate in company standards, regulations, instructions creation, implementation, their improvement.
- Participate, conduct the presentations and webinars on prosthetics.

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**

**Related work experience**

At least two years of additional proven clinical experience after training is highly desirable.

**Formal education or equivalent**

Bachelor's degree in prosthetics and orthotics with a minimum of 70% from a recognised university or relevant professional experience. Must be registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India to perform prosthetic training of the third parties.

**Skills**

Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient (ranging from 2 years old to geriatric). Knowledge of technological processes of prosthetics. Skills of basic rehabilitation during the prosthetic procedure. Knowledge of country specific standards and regulations in the prosthetic field. English proficiency - upper intermediate. Basic computer skills.

**Salary**: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
