Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Management: Manage and control construction costs, including estimating, budgeting, and forecasting.

2. Quantity Takeoff: Measure and quantify building materials and labor required for construction projects.

3. Bid Preparation: Prepare and analyze bids, tenders, and proposals for construction projects.

4. Contract Administration: Administer construction contracts, including variations, claims, and final accounts.

5. Cost Reporting: Provide regular cost reports and updates to stakeholders, including project managers and clients.

6. Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering solutions.

7. Procurement: Manage procurement processes, including tendering, negotiation, and contract award.

Essential Skills and Qualities:
1. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.

2. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex construction projects.

3. Communication: Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and clients.

4. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in quantity takeoff, costing, and reporting.

5. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.

**Requirements**:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

2. Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role.

3. Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as MRICS or FRICS, are desirable.
