Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and attentive Captain/Order Taker to join our team. As a Captain/Order Taker, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and seamless service delivery to our guests. You will take orders, relay them accurately to the kitchen, coordinate with the service team, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction throughout their dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and provide menus.
- Take orders from guests, ensuring accuracy and attentiveness to special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Relay orders promptly and accurately to the kitchen staff.
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to the guests' tables.
- Provide recommendations and answer inquiries about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in on their dining experience, addressing any concerns, and promptly resolving any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including menus, order pads, and other necessary tools.
- Assist with table setting, ensuring proper arrangement of utensils, glassware, and tableware.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient service delivery.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, specials, and menu changes to effectively communicate with guests.
- Follow proper cash handling and POS system procedures when processing payments.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience as a Captain or Order Taker in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation techniques.
- Ability to work well within a team and coordinate with kitchen and service staff.
- Basic math skills for accurate order taking and payment processing.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant reservation software is a plus.

Education and Certification:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
