RSM’s Private Client practice is looking for a dynamic tax experienced professional. At RSM, our Private Client practice is rooted in strong relationships based on a deep understanding of what matters most to our clients. Our team of first choice advisors aligns to serve family offices, closely held businesses and their owners, ultra-high net worth individuals and their multi-generational families and private equity fund owners. Our impact reaches business owners through business and tax planning at all stages of the business life cycle to help owners, and their families achieve their long-term goals. As a tax experienced professional, you will be responsible for the following, which focus on your technical expertise and ability to work on a collaborative team dedicated to excellent client service:

- Be an essential team member advising business owner clients on a full spectrum of business and tax opportunities, including succession planning, wealth transfer planning, and tax compliance
- Supervise staff and assist with the execution of client tax engagements focused on partnership, S corporation or C Corporation, as well as individual and fiduciary taxation
- Provide leadership, training and career mentorship to staff level team members
- Review work for accuracy and quality
- Use feedback and our career development framework to grow your technical and soft skills

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field
- Passed all four parts of the CPA exam and met all state education requirements to become a CPA in one’s principal place of business/home state; Passed the bar exam; Or passed the enrolled agent exam
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working in public accounting with an emphasis on taxation.
- Experience with entity (partnership, S corporation or C corporation) and individual taxation
- Familiar with fiduciary, gift and estate taxation
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to work in a collaborative team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with private client or business taxation with a desire to grow skills in the private client arena
