- Responsibilities:

- At RSM, associates work with large and small companies in various industries. They develop strong working relationships with clients built on understanding their businesses and challenges. Associates work on multiple team engagements each year, including several pieces of any particular assignment - not just one part. Working in a mutually respectful team environment helps our associates perform at their best and integrate their career with their personal life.
- Preparing complex tax returns
- Preparing state and local tax returns, composite and withholding filings for clients
- Basic Qualifications:

- 1+ year of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional or local accounting firm
- Experience in U.S. Tax accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam, EA or a licensed JD
- Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements
- Experience preparing returns
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Meet client, internal and statutory deadlines
- Completing tax planning and research regarding specific tax issues
- Understanding tax regulations and accounting pronouncements
- Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
- Other duties as assigned
- Some travel may be required (varies based on location, line of business & client need)
