**Job Description Summary**:
In this role, you will provide tax and/or legal interpretation to create or update existing indexes for Thomson Reuters Legal and Tax and Accounting in all media. Specifically, the Members of this team are also tasked with ensuring that published indexes contain and deliver appropriate tax concepts and terms to create a quality finding aid for our customers.

**About the Role**:

- In this opportunity as Index Tax Publisher, you will:

- Create back-of-the-book indexes: Our Publishers generate back-of-the-book indexes by creating original content or by updating an existing index. When applicable they incorporate their index into an existing general index. They follow the required style guidelines and deliver within extremely strict and tight time deadlines.
- Editorial Responsibility: Members of this team adhere to editorial publishing schedules and quality standards. They also verify their own work for accuracy and completeness and ensure that the information is properly presented and organized. In this role, attention to detail, knowledge of tax concepts and “terms of art” of how legal or tax concepts fit together, and the ability to synthesize complex material are required.
- Individual and Leadership Development: As a part of a larger team, you will attend and participate in meetings and take part in the employee evaluation process (both wider feedback and self-evaluation). To be most effective at your job, you will develop knowledge of Thomson Reuters Legal or Tax and Accounting publications and products related to your responsibilities, and those of competitors.
- Members of our team prioritize their own work and understand the roles and responsibilities of each collaborator/team member and how each role impacts production. You will also be required to demonstrate competence on company-specific systems necessary to perform your job functions.
- Commentary Law: As a member of the Global Commentary editorial team, you will work closely with other teams and individuals to collaborate on your work. Relationship management, meeting deadlines, and strong editorial skills are necessary to maintain our indexes as part of our world-class commentary collection.

**About You**
You're a fit for the role of Index Tax Publisher if your background includes:

- Professional degree in specialty area (e.g. JD, CPA, LLM, MBA)
- Certifications: Legal or Tax and Accounting related certification
- Experience working in tax or accounting and/or in a tax firm or entity that has specialization in U.S. tax law or accounting or similar activities
- Self-starter with an aptitude for tax concepts and how tax concepts fit together
- Analytical thinker who uses logic and collaborates to solve difficult problems
- Decisive with a focus on making quality decisions quickly
- Driven by deadlines and can deliver results
- Ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and communicate complex legal or tax material
- Can prioritize tasks and projects and pursue them with energy and drive

- Strong communicator who can speak and write clearly and effectively with all contacts, both in and outside Thomson Reuters
