Your Roles and Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Provide database administration support for all database environments (dev, staging, integration, production) and participate in on-call rotation as defined by management.
- User access management
- Review daily database jobs, database alerts and Proactive database monitoring.
- Database migrations, backups, replications and environment refreshes
- Work with developers to optimize, improve and tune new or existing queries by rewriting queries or modifying indexes
- Participate in the planning, installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of database instances
- Troubleshoot/Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, and database replication issues
- Mentor and guide other technical resources
- Strong SQL Coding Skills(TSQL)
- To design, develop, and maintain SQL database schemas and scripts, including views, stored procedures, SQL Jobs
- Experience in developing, implementing, and optimizing stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
- Experience in MSBI Stack (SSRS and SSIS)
- Handle simple, medium, and complex TSQL Queries
- Experience in query performance monitoring and query tuning
- Excellent in Review and interpreting ongoing business report requirements
- Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables / Ad-hoc reporting
- Good experience and analytical skills - Data Analysis & Data profiling
- Proficient understanding of code versioning is preferred
- Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
- Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements
- Data Modelling
- Ability to translate business requirements to objects
- Good in Data warehousing concepts
- Very good analytical skills
- Knowledge of the Insurance domain
- Good Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skill.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 Years of working experience
- Design and Development of high-quality database solution in MS-SQL Ample technical skills to lead in backend MS SQL DB design
- Working knowledge of the prevalent operating systems, SQL statements TSQL and PL/SQL and SQLs and hardware platforms
- Research required data and Suggest build tweak queries Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements
- Design and build procedures and scripts for data pass through and persistence Analyze/investigate exceptions to the backend in the event of issues
- Critical logical and reasoning with Innovative thinking Experienced in High and low-level design tools

REQUIRED TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE
- Overall 5+ years of IT experience
- Strong SQL Server DBA experience and skills and the technical ability to assist, take over and even manage very in-depth escalated SQL Server DB support tickets.
- Hands-on operational expertise as an SQL Server DBA on Account administration, Always ON, Replication, Log shipping, clustering, backups and recovery, audit reporting, Performance tuning as well as proactive environment health checks
- SQL Cluster environments with Installations and Failovers.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
- Logging, managing, and resolving SQL Server SR's with Microsoft Support
- Experience with Code Migration tools is a plus.
- Strong experience in automating regular work using TSQL, PowerShell, etc.
- Must have hands-on experience and sound knowledge in cloud technologies and SQL architecture/HADR setups
