**Introduction**:
The role of Equities Trading Systems Engineer AVP carries responsibility for the provision of high quality, bespoke support of the Electronic Trading plant which underpins the Cash Equities business. This role encompasses technical support, continuous service improvement, infrastructure architecture and project management (a key objective is to contribute towards the ongoing build-out of the Electronic Trading Cash Architecture platform).

The role is located on the trading floor and is co-located with the FO Electronic Trading Product team.

**What will you be doing?**
- Provide strong technical leadership within the Electronic Trading RTB team
- Contribute significantly towards the build-out of the Electronic Trading Cash Architecture platform
- Provide technical direction and leadership during incidents
- Be accountable for the resiliency and capacity management of the production environment
- Be accountable for certifying trading termination mechanisms (TTMs)
- Embed RTB within the Application SDLC - attend sprint meetings and provide non-functional requirements
- Contribute significantly towards the Change Delivery function for Electronic Trading EMEA; be the “Ops” contributor to DevOps
- Coach and mentor more junior team members across geographies

**What We’re Looking For**
- Exposure to network connectivity investigation and diagnostics
- Experience of client and exchange connectivity platforms with exposure to exchange APIs and protocols
- Experience of Algorithmic trading platforms & Order Management Systems.
- Exposure to middleware technologies eg. Tibco RV/Solace
- Bash/Perl scripting and/or Python/Java programming experience
- Experience with scheduling tools

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Knowledge of ITRS Geneos, including deployment of netprobes and Gateway configuration.
- Experience with Corvil latency monitoring and configuration
