Job description

This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day support of DB2 Subsystems in a datasharing / non datasharing environment. This high-energy, results oriented job requires a balance of technical skills and business processes, a sense of urgency resolving problem issues, creativity, work schedule flexibility, adaptability to changing business conditions and a commitment to customer satisfaction

1. DB2 system programming in an Z/OS operating system maintenance / installations -Proficient
- Required Database

2. IBM DB2 Tools and other ISV tools for DB2 (Ex CA, BMC, Compuware products for DB2) Proficient Required Product Installation & Customization

3. Omegamon XE for DB2 / TMON for DB2 / BMC Mainview - Proficient
- Required Monitoring tool

4. IBM program product installation
- Proficient -Required Product installation

5. IBM DB2 Replication products

6. Knowledge and handling DB2 Systems objects, DB2 ZParms

7. DB2 Systems monitoring and knowledge about performance tuning

8. JCL- Proficient
- Required Job Control language

9. TSO/SDSF/JES2/SYSVIEW -Proficient
- Required Environment

10. SMP/E -Proficient
- Required Installing & maintaining software

11. IBM RACF or CA / ACF2 or Top secret
- Proficient -Required Security

12. MS Office Excel/Word/Ppt - Proficient

EDUCATION: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (or above)
- 15 years of Minimum Education required
- 7- years of minimum relevant work experience

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Level - Applied: DB2, OS/390, JES2, JES3, SMP/E, RACF/ACF2, SDSF, TSO/ISPF, JCL, Unix System Services, PARMLIB/PROCLIB customization,
- Experience in few ISV products like Output management Tools (CA-View/OnDemand), Scheduling products (CA-7 etc.), Tape Management products (CA-1, RMM etc.), PSP/RSU maintenance, Sysplex Operations, z/OS Utilities, Catalog management, Performance monitoring tools (Omegamon etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills, communications skills, and ability to work as a team member are essential
- Fluent written/verbal communication in English
