# **Job Description - Lab Attendant**

**Position Title**: Lab Attendant

**Department**: Computer/Science Laboratory

**Reports To**: Lab In-Charge / Faculty / Institute Head
## **Job Purpose**

To assist in the smooth functioning of the laboratory by maintaining cleanliness, preparing equipment, supporting faculty and students during practical sessions, and ensuring the safety and orderliness of the lab.
## **Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and arrange lab equipment, instruments, and materials before practical sessions.
- Assist faculty and students in conducting practical work and using lab equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the lab at all times.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of lab materials, chemicals (if applicable), and tools.
- Report any damages, malfunctions, or shortages of equipment to the Lab In-Charge.
- Keep records of issued and returned lab equipment.
- Follow safety rules and ensure students follow safety guidelines inside the lab.
- Support in setting up new experiments or demonstrations.
- Assist in installation/updation of software (in case of computer labs).
- Any other duties assigned by the Lab In-Charge/Management.
## **Skills & Qualifications**
- Minimum Qualification: 10th/12th pass (Higher education preferred for computer labs).
- Basic knowledge of handling lab equipment.
- For computer labs: Basic knowledge of computer hardware/software.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, punctual, and disciplined.
## **Work Conditions**
- Full-time, on-campus role.
- Requires physical presence in the lab during working hours.
- May involve lifting/moving light equipment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fresher, Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹6,086.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
