**Mandatory Requirement**:

- EPQE of 2-3 years, in the areas of M&A, contract drafting, corporate advisory in a law firm or in-house
- Knowledge of Companies Act, FEMA Regulations, Contracts Act and employment laws
- Ability to lead fast-paced projects with strong attention to detail
- Ability to resolve business problems with applicable legal framework
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and writing skills, ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, follow through and meet deadlines

The startup says its team brings operational expertise in the lifestyle category and helps them grow two to three times in a year while also turning them profitable.In the past year of its operation, it has acquired 15 brands, including celebrity-styled Label Life, fashion jewelry Voylla, Indian wear trueBrowns & Abhishti, children’s wear Frangipani and beauty and skin care platforms Neemli and Nutriglow.

**Job Role and Responsibilities**:

- Drafting and negotiating transaction documents including term sheets, definitive agreements, shareholders agreements, business transfer agreements, closing documents for the transactions
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts including agreements relating to procurement, service, consulting, distribution, external manufacturing, sales, license, intellectual property, and other legal agreements
- Advising the company’s mergers & acquisitions team and the business team on a varied range of legal and regulatory issues
- Leveraging the systems for workflow management, tracking and communicating the status of legal matters
- Solving legal issues with minimum supervision, while escalating issues to relevant internal teams
- Analysing and summarising transactions and deal-specific deviations from standardised templates
- Ensuring implementation and compliance with company’s policies across portfolio brands
- Assisting the brands with identification, registration, transfer, and protection of their IP

**Qualification and Experience**:

- Need people with M&A background, primarily from legal practice firms.
