**Job description**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Loan Application Review**:

- Assess the borrower's credit history, employment, income, and debt levels.
- Confirm the property's value through appraisal reports.

**Credit and Financial Analysis**:

- Evaluate credit reports to determine the borrower's creditworthiness.
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, pay stubs, and other income documentation.
- Calculate debt-to-income (DTI) ratios and loan-to-value (LTV) ratios.

**Compliance and Risk Assessment**:

- Ensure loans comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines.
- Identify potential risks and assess the overall risk level of the loan.

**Decision Making**:

- Issue conditions for approval and ensure all conditions are met before finalizing the loan.
- Communicate decisions and conditions to loan officers and other stakeholders.

**Documentation and Record-Keeping**:

- Document all communications and decisions made during the underwriting process.
- Prepare reports summarizing loan status and underwriting outcomes.

**Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with loan officers, processors, and other team members to gather the necessary information.
- Provide guidance and support to loan officers regarding loan structuring and compliance issues.
- Communicate effectively with borrowers to clarify any issues or request additional information.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Stay updated on industry trends, changes in regulations, and new underwriting practices.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.
- Suggest improvements to underwriting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

**Experience**:

- 2 years of experience in mortgage underwriting or a related field.

**Salary**:
**6-7 LPA**

**Work From Home**

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- US shift

**Experience**:

- Live under writer: 3 years (required)
