**Brief Description about the Project** The SOHAM Cohort study has been conceptualised to assess the “Healthy Ageing Tool -India (HAT-I)” which will be developed and validated. This tool should be able to distinguish between those with a “healthy Ageing phenotype” and those without. A large cohort of volunteers (> 40 years) will be recruited. The validated HAT-I tool will be applied to them, and they will be categorised as being at different levels of “Healthy Ageing” based on their score. This cohort will then be followed up longitudinally for 5 years, with semi-annual and annual contacts to identify the occurrence of adverse outcomes in different domains. This will be used to measure the strength of association between the baseline HAT-I score and the occurrence of adverse outcomes. **Research Medical Officer** **Position Starting**:01st November, 2024 **No. of Vacancy**:One **Preferred Qualifications**:MD/MS/MBBS/MDS (MBBS and MDS with research Experience is preferred) **Salary**: Rs. 67000/- per month **Language**:English, Kannada,Tamil and Hindi **Location**:Bangalore **Last Day for Receiving Application**: 14th October**, **2024 **Roles and Responsibilities**: - Will work under the direction of the Principal Investigator, SOHAM Cohort study, and the steering committee of the study. - Preparing the ethical renewal and any other documentation of approval as required on regular basis. - Leading training and orientation sessions for technical and support staff for the study. - Planning, organising, and implementing the study procedures and methods with the study team, including travel to field locations and conducting medical screening and other study related processes. - Recording and reporting on all study related processes as required by relevant regulatory authorities and the study leadership team. - Participating in all study related meetings and programs with reporting responsibilities as** **advised by the study leadership. - Preparing manuscripts for publication and presentation as required from time to time. - Any other study-related tasks as may be communicated by the study leadership from time to time.
