**Job Title - Mainframe z/OS System Programmer**

Experience - 3-10 Years

Location - Bangalore, Chennai, Pune [Hybrid/Remote]
Notice Period - Immediate Joiners Preferred

**Job Overview**

We seek an experienced Mainframe z/OS System Programmer to manage and support z/OS environments. The role includes system upgrades, performance monitoring, installations, troubleshooting, and expertise in ISV tools, JCL, scripting, and system utilities.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Administer and support z/OS mainframe systems.

2. Perform SMP/E & Non-SMP/E installation of ISV products and manage upgrades (z/OS V2.5/V3.1).

3. Configure and manage JES3/JES2, Sysplex, and related components.

4. Write, test, and debug JCL and manage IBM Utilities (IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, AMASPZAP).

5. Configure and monitor TSO/E, ISPF, and basic scripting in REXX/CLIST.

6. Plan and execute z/OS upgrade and maintenance roadmaps.

7. Implement and manage RACF security policies or equivalent tools.

8. Configure and troubleshoot networking components, including VTAM, TCP/IP, and associated protocols.

9. Perform disaster recovery planning using tools like GDPS and DFSMS.

10. Monitor system performance using tools like SMF and z/OS Health Checker.

11. Support mainframe storage management (SMS/DFSMS) and backup/recovery processes.

12. Resolve incidents using appropriate tools and perform diagnostics as required.

**Preferred Technical Skills**

1. Strong expertise in z/OS administration and system programming.

2. Proficiency in batch job management using JCL.

3. Familiarity with COBOL, DB2, and CICS.

4. Experience with SDSF, console management, and monitoring tools.

5. Knowledge of automation tools like IBM Tivoli or BMC (preferred).

6. Understanding of mainframe security and access control frameworks.

7. Exposure to disaster recovery and backup strategies.
