**Job Title**: Fabrication Fitter Trainer

**Job Type**: Full-time / Contractual / Visiting Faculty

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities:1. Training & Instruction**:

- Conduct **practical and theoretical training** on fabrication processes:

- **Cutting**: Oxy-fuel, plasma, saw cutting
- **Shaping**: Rolling, bending, punching
- **Assembly**: Drilling, bolting, riveting, welding basics
- **Installation**: Structural steel, sheet metal, pipe supports
- Teach interpretation of **engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols**.
- Demonstrate proper use of **hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments** (calipers, micrometers, levels).

**2. Workshop Supervision**:

- Oversee fabrication projects (e.g., brackets, frames, ducting).
- Ensure students follow **safety protocols** (PPE, machine guarding, fire safety).
- Maintain and troubleshoot fabrication equipment (grinders, drills, presses).

**3. Curriculum Development**:

- Assist in designing **NSQF-compliant training modules** for fabrication fitting.
- Update course content with **industry-relevant techniques** (e.g., CNC cutting basics).

**4. Assessment & Certification**:

- Evaluate student work through **practical tests** (e.g., fitting tolerance checks).
- Prepare trainees for **ITI/NCVT certification exams**.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: ITI/Diploma in **Fitting/Fabrication/Metalwork** or equivalent.
- **Experience**:

- 3+ years in **fabrication fitting** (construction, manufacturing, or related fields).
- Prior **teaching/training experience** (preferred but not mandatory).
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in **fabrication tools** (grinders, drills, presses).
- Basic knowledge of **welding (ARC, MIG)** and **sheet metal work**.
- Ability to read **IS/ASME standards**.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong **communication and mentoring** abilities.
- Patience to work with **diverse learners**.
