**Job Purpose (Job Summary)**:To achieve a goal of 99.99% service availability by ensuring standard initial build, ongoing maintenance, procedures and monitoring of the Wintel, Active Directory and VMware technologies is undertaken effectively. Additionally, to ensure first class support and problem resolution is given in achieving this goal. This individual will be part of Server Operations support group and job requirements include monitoring, troubleshooting, performing health checks, and attending customer reported issues, and fulfilling of requests pertaining to Sever and platform infrastructure. Additionally, the role will also serve and collaborate with downstream and upstream technology partners and end clients, for any technical consultations, support, and operational procedural issues. The incumbent will be part of operations group to ensure service availability, and secure infrastructure of Server platform.

**Key Responsibilities / Duties**:

- Ensure operational standards are adhered to. This includes actively looking to continuously improve working practices to ensure the team work’s as efficiently as possible.
- Complete the day to day operational activities of the team, respond to client queries and requests for assistance promptly and effectively in accordance with agreed service standards. Escalate any complaints accordingly; ensure they are satisfactorily resolved and long-term corrective action/prevention has taken place.
- Follow team procedures, identify gaps and resolve effectively. Including the Business/Disaster Recovery program
- Ensure the Server Environment portfolio remains current. Highlight areas requiring refresh albeit from a hardware or software perspective.
- Regularly review the team risk profile.
- Demonstrate and deliver excellent service to all clients at all times.
- Call management, includes logging and taking ownership, updating, closing calls correctly, using the appropriate categories and escalating when appropriate.
- Assist when instructed to design, implement and deliver of our BR obligations.
- When requested provide intelligent hands-on support for all areas of the Infrastructure Services Group.
- Successfully deputize in the absence of the Team Leader/Manager.

**Work Experience / Knowledge**:

- 4+ years of experience on Server Operations and infrastructure platform services support:

- Skills required
- Strong Windows Server and troubleshooting skills (mandatory)
- Strong ESX Server Skills (mandatory)
- Strong Active Directory Skills (Good to have)
- Possess good working & troubleshooting experience on
- Microsoft Windows & VMware Servers.
- Volume managers/Clusters.
- x86 hardware - current models of tower and blade servers.
- Active Directory (ADFS, DNS, DHCP and Certificate Services)
- Basic understanding of Storage Concepts
- Azure and AWS knowledge and experience will be an added advantage
- Automation and scripting experience will be added advantage - (Python, Ansible, PowerShell, and PowerBI)
- Good to have working experience on CISCO UCS.
- Good to have working experience on VMWare vRealize Orchestrator and vROps
- Good to have working experience on Solarwinds
- Previous experience in a Financial Services, highly pressured environment, essential.
- Must possess an up-to-date understanding of all Infrastructure technologies and a good technical knowledge of Wintel Services with a clear focus on Windows, VMware and Active Directory Environment disciplines.

**Working Conditions**:

- Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures.
- Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment.
- Hours may include evenings and/or weekends and may include 24-hour on-call support in rotational 24/7 shift pattern
