**Responsibilities**:
Within the Information Security organization, the Information Security role is responsible for developing Lilly's security capabilities, security consulting on projects/initiatives, and working closely with business and IT partners to deliver a comprehensive security program and roadmap for the Global Business Solutions Centers.

This role will include continual partnership with Lilly information security and IT solution delivery teams to review, design, and embed security controls into complex environments. It will require strong communication and listening skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics to a non-technical audience. The individual in this role will be encouraged to be a security champion while demonstrating well-rounded security skills across domains.

This role works directly with the Advisor - IT Info Sec Global Business Solutions.

Key Objectives/Work You'll Be Doing:

- Implement and maintain security controls in alignment with privacy, legal, regulatory, and business requirements.
- Embed security by design principles within the software development lifecycle
- Partner with the Lilly Global Business Partners to consult on the design of projects to ensure the applicable Lilly defined security controls are adopted
- Drive adoption, enforcement and monitoring of security policies through automation and technological innovations
- Perform architecture security reviews to enable secure delivery of solutions
- Partner with project teams to support and consult on security efforts
- Perform threat modeling to identify, mitigate, and/or call out risks
- Perform security assessments to identify, mitigate, and/or call out risks

**Required Skills**:

- 10+ years of total IT experience
- Minimum of 5 years of information security experience
- Bachelors degree in technology, information systems, information security or related field
- Demonstrated understanding of information security controls and risk management
- Experience in IT audits or assessments (e.g. SOx, Privacy, GxP)
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communications
- Broad understanding of cloud and on-prem IT solutions and technologies (e.g. Java, Microsoft, AWS, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders

Additional Skills/Preferences
- Expertise with industry standards, frameworks, and principles such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and FAIR.
- High learning agility to keep up with ever-changing business needs.
- Proven high level of intellectual curiosity, external perspective and innovation interest.
- Information Security certification (e.g. CISA, CISSP, etc.) is preferred
